The Tea Ladies: Nora, Bess & Lottie are from a pattern by Sally Lampi. Sally writes: These three women met at the Y several years ago. The Y was offering free bridge lessons every Thursday afternoon. After everyone had paired off or foursomed off, they realized they were one short. Lottie's husband always said she was one short. While waiting for a fourth to show up they sat around drinking tea and eating cookies the Y provided for the coming break. When the break came the girls had eaten all the cookies and had to leave the building with haste. They had so much fun that afternoon, they decided to meet again the following week. Only next time at Nora's house. During their weekly gatherings they got to know more about each other and created a bond that lasted through several decades.
I am sure that many of us can relate to these girls. We might belong to quilting groups, sewing groups, or weight loss group all offering an opportunity to creat a similar bond.
The snowmen pictured are from Christmas 2008. They were created from a pattern that Deanna Hogan offered to our on-line doll club. Each became a Christmas gift.
